Principal's Message
Welcome to Hamilton Middle School!!!!!
Welcome Back!!!! We hoped you
had a nice and safe spring break. We were all ready for a break after we
worked so hard to prepare our students for the Reading State Assessments
in March, but now it is time to refocus and get ready for the Math State
Assessments April 1st through April 10th. The Teachers, Paras,
Instructional Coaches, Leadership team and Support Staff have pulled
together to emphasize the importance of taking these test and being here
at school.
Reminder - Please do not schedule any appointments during the Math State
Assessments dates.
Note: When the assessments are over, there is still a lot of learning
that needs to take place in the classroom. We will continue our focus
and high expectations on reading because we still have several students
who are not meeting their reading goal. Writing and Math will continue
to be a focus point and priority. The Math Tutoring after school has
been a success and the students are doing well and showing some
improvement.
I have been very pleased with the dedication and hard work the faculty
and staff continue to do even though there are just two months left of
school. We have not checked out on the teaching in the classroom, and it
will continue until the last bell rings to go home on the last day of
school. Please continue to emphasize at home to your son/daughter the
importance of school and for them to come to school daily.
The Bond Election will be May 6th – You will continue to receive
information from the media and the school regarding what the Bond Issue
will consist of and how it will affect the students, schools and the
community. Please continue to listen to the facts and get involve so you
will have the knowledge and be ready to vote on May 6th.
Our Parent Involvement Worker Mrs. Martinez will also be contacting you
as well and giving you dates and information that will help keep
informed. Mrs. Martinez continues to communicate and connect with our
parents, students and the community. Words can not express how much we
appreciate Mrs. Martinez and the work she does in/outside of our
building.
Please continue to support the school and we are doing many great things
at Hamilton. We welcome you to the school anytime and would love to see
you.
There is no I in TEAMWORK, Failure IS NOT an option and WE can make a
difference.
